The movie was announced last year, with Daisy Ridley confirmed to return as Rey in a story set 15 years after the events of Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker.
Though the sequel doesn't yet have a firm release date, production beginning soon could allow Star Wars: New Jedi Order to fill Disney's open December 2025 slot.
